House Cleaning in Stone Mountain, GA
A small city with a genuine village centre and a lot of house for the money. Straightforward pricing, no postcode premium.
Two different Stone Mountains, and we serve both
The City of Stone Mountain is small — around 6,700 residents at the 2020 census — built around a walkable historic village of Victorian and early-1900s homes. But a very large area of unincorporated DeKalb carries a Stone Mountain mailing address, full of 1970s through 1990s subdivisions on generous lots.
Those are genuinely different jobs. A Victorian in the village has original trim, tall windows and narrow stairs. A 1985 split-level out toward Rockbridge has more square footage, more carpet and a finished basement. Tell us your street when you call and we will quote the one you actually have.
What house cleaning costs in Stone Mountain
Recurring bi-weekly service:
- 2 bedroom / 1 bath — $125–$152 per visit
- 3 bedroom / 2 bath — $152–$186 per visit
- 4 bedroom / 3 bath — $203–$248 per visit
- 5 bedroom / 4 bath — $258–$314 per visit
Monthly on a 3 bedroom is $161–$197, weekly is $144–$175. A first-time deep clean is $283–$345 on a 3 bedroom and is required before recurring service starts.
Worth saying plainly: our rates are the same in every city we serve. A four-bedroom house in Stone Mountain costs exactly what a four-bedroom in Decatur or Avondale Estates costs. Some companies quote higher in wealthier postcodes for identical work. We do not, and you can check that against any other page on this site.
Finished basements and split-levels
A lot of the unincorporated Stone Mountain housing stock has a finished basement, and it is the single most common thing that gets mis-quoted. If it is finished living space with a bathroom, it is effectively another floor of the house and we count it. Pricing it as free is how a crew ends up rushing your main level to make the schedule work.
Unfinished basements and garages are not part of a standard clean. If you want them done we will price them separately rather than quietly skipping them.
Moving out?
Move in/out on an empty 3 bedroom is $332–$404; a 4 bedroom is $443–$539. The house does need to be completely empty — we cannot do the job properly around furniture, and a half-done move-out clean is the fastest way to lose a deposit. See move in/out cleaning.
Businesses around the village
The village has small independent shops, offices and restaurants where the whole space is visible from the door. A 3,000 sq ft office with two restrooms is $451–$549 per month weekly; a 2,500 sq ft restaurant cleaned nightly is $1,987–$2,419. Hood and duct cleaning is specialist certified work and contracted separately.
Stone Mountain questions we get asked
Do you charge less here than in Decatur or Avondale?
We charge the same. Our pricing is based on the house — bedrooms, bathrooms and layout — not the postcode. You can compare any two city pages on this site and see identical numbers.
Is my finished basement extra?
It counts as additional finished space, so it affects the quote. Mention it when you call rather than on the day — it changes how much time we allow, and discovering it on arrival is how visits run late.
I have a Stone Mountain address but I am not in the city. Do you still come?
Yes. Most Stone Mountain addresses are in unincorporated DeKalb rather than the city itself. Same service, same rates — we just want your street so we schedule the drive realistically.
Do you clean carpets, or just vacuum?
Vacuuming is part of a standard clean. Actual carpet shampooing is a separate service — see residential carpet cleaning. A lot of the older subdivisions here have carpet throughout, so it is worth knowing the difference.
Can you come while I am at work?
Yes, and most of our clients here do exactly that. A door code or lockbox is normal. Every cleaner is background checked, insured and bonded.
